Help for a newbie!

Hi all, Ive bought a 02 wrx sti uk impreza which im well happy with,, until recently!
The problem I have is that the engine management light has recently come on, when i plugged my mates code reader in "cylinder no 2 missfire detected" was shown. So I changed the plugs and reset the fault, took it up the road, and the same fault occured again. So suspeting it may be the coil, I swapped coil number 2 to number 4 and vice versa, reset the fault, took it for a spin and it seemed to behave, until i started it the following morning, and hey presto, the light came on again! When I plugged the code reader in, I was half expecting it to say that cylinder no 4 was missfiring, but it came up with,,,,,,,you guessed it "cylinder no 2 missfire"!

It only seems to show this fault when the engine is started from cold, when the engine is warm theres no problem.

Its not a big missfire, its only very slight.
Im confused, lost and frustrated so please help

are you using super unleaded or std fuel, had this a few times on customer cars and its was simply down to poor quality fuel.................
