Maf Sensor

Have since found out it may be a knackered maf sensor thats causing boost problems, does anyone here know were I can get a working second hand one from??
Oh and an uprated air filter(not the air box)?
cos the k&n coned filter may have fooked the MAF.

Try Grade A for the MAF

http://www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/

When you say filter ???
Are you refitting the standard air box - In which Case a Green Cotton panel filter is the best.

Or do you want a replacement cone type, if so go for the CAI type like the K&N Typhoon, this locates the filter in the inner wing and has bracket support for the MAF housing.... I have this on mine.

Cheers Pete,my filter is a K&N coned one,but I was wondering if there was a better one,as this one,may have sucked water droplets into the maf sensor.

Thx Dave,Yeah I washed it out about a month ago,but I didn't bother to re-oil the filter so I thought thats why the maf went, but like u said its probably on its way out due 40k odd miles, were did you get your sensor for 80 from??
And will any impreza turbo maf sensor fit,as my car is a 1993 import classic?
Regards Tony.

pete just for info the green induction kit also comes with a bracket to mount filter to the inner wing on an existing bolt thus supporting everything, bracket did need twisting to fit perfectly though

Have replace the maf-sensor with another, both were green/A-grade,but it hasn't made any difference with my boost level!!Well pissed off.
So it seems themaf wasn't at fault, unless this secondhand one is a gonna too?
So the question is,how come I'm only boosting 0.5bar??
could it been the knock-sensor?
or a dodgy ecu??
