bugeye clutch clunk in neutral

I've got a wierd slipping/clunk feeling on my clutch when the car is running ( not felt when its off )

what are the symptoms of a clutch going ?? I know its not the well known judder when pulling off, its just when I press/depress the clutch at a junction or something .

its just as my foot is nearly flush down on the floor and it feel like something is rubbing or scraping past something..

the car does still drive perfectly but i'm worried I'm looking at a big bill in the future.

has anyone ever heard of this or got any ideas ?

normal signs of clutch on way out is slip, mainly when the turbo kicks in and overpowers the clutch, or at high revs when powers at max.

clunking might just be the plates moving which you don't norm hear with engne running

hi russ
possible causes are loose or broken drive plate springs, release fork may have a hairline crack or be bent causing bearing to drag,
cover to pressure plate drive straps bent or broken, flywheel pilot bearing faulty there is an adjuster under the pedal that may need attention
the list is endless we notice you are only twenty minuets away from us feel free to pop in anytime and we will diagnose your fault for you free of charge
hope this helps
by the way the coffee`s good
