ABS Light

Hi all,

Got the clutch sorted. cost me a bit more than expected but the flywheel was slightly worse for wear so invested in a lightened and balanced one (and very glad i did too).

the problem i have now is that after i got the car home, i started the car the next morning (this morning) and the ABS Light has come on. at first i thought it might have been a fuse so i've checked and replaced both but this hasnt worked. is it possible that one of the sensors has been disturbed while the clutch was being done or could the cause be something totally unrelated?

any ideas?

p.s. thanks to the boys at scooby clinic for getting me turned round as quickly as possible.

Good you got your clutch sorted Yep! check your ABS sensors

Just a thought, how are you on your brake fluid?...maybe low fluid is messing with your ABS light

will do mate. i gotta say it feels so much better with a lightened flywheel. takes some getting used to how different it sounds on start up tho

pete, i gave the reservoir a cursory glance when i had a look round under the bonnet to see if anything was amiss. i didnt notice any low levels but i'll check again.

cheers guys

if i hadnt had to shell out for the flywheel, i probably would have succumbed. i was eyeing up a dump valve until i told myself there was nowt wrong the the bailey valve thats already on.

i must admit tho mate. the thing flies now with a decent clutch and featherweight wheel it feels like a different car altogether!!

i couldnt fault them at all. depending on what adam says tomorrow i might see you down there. with a bit of luck it'll be something i can sort without getting it up in the air!

i'll certainly be taking mine there when the belt service is due. they're far cheaper than the subaru specialist up here and they even asked if i fancied anything from the chippy while i waited

oh and there were no pastry type products in the food machine. bit of a downer but hey, you cant have everything!!!
