Bet You Cant Guess This One.....

are you all sitting comfortably..then IL beging....my00 classic impreza turbo has a annoying noise at rear, thought it was wheel bearing..replaced them..still there..been told could be diff and the cost involved makes be bad......have checked drive shafts .if i hold drive shaft tight there is very slight movement in cv joint ( 1-2 tho) any body else suffered from this before...doing my head in..love the car to bits.. any help please .....cheers mike

take a trip up to scoobyclinic at chesterfield bit of a trek but well worth it, let em check it out for ya and they'll be able to tell ya

cv joints usually develop a knock as apposed to a whine like a wheel bearing, ive got a bit of play in my cv`s but not causing any probs.Would guess at diff meself though, what power you running?

Have you swapped wheels front to rear just to eliminate tyres. As has been known for faulty belts in tyres to cause noise.

hi all... car has only done 64368..genuine mileage...running bout 260 bhp......have swapped tyres..noise still there tho.....if it is the diff anybody now where i can get it done with out breaking the bank thanks mike
