Springs

I'm going to get some new springs for my 03 Wagon. I would like to fit them myself, is this possible for a diy job or leave to the pros to do?

yep shocks will have to be removed, you'll need a decent set of 'spring compressors' to stop your head going in to orbit!!

the alignment will be totally different when re-fitted/lowered so needs sorted also............

Thanks for that. I think I'm better off leaving it to the pros' to do.

ive done 4 scoobies mate it aint hard, dont know about the later scoobs but on the classics the only awkward parts were cutting a slot in the brackets on the dampers to slide the brake pipe out of (didnt want to be bleeding the brakes after aswell) and its tightish for space around the strut tops behind the rear seat (when undoing the bolts that hold the strut).Struts will come off as complete units so dont need compressors on till youve got plenty of room to work anyway,as for camber i just put them bk where they were lol could probably do with checking but isnt too far out coz the tyres arent being scrubbed.
