Decat Downpipes?

Hello All,

I am thinking of fitting decat front pipes to my 99 Impreza sport 2.0.

The question is if i decat the exhaust will this cause the car to fail the MOT?

Many thanks

It probably will cause the car to fail an MOT. The MOT tests are very strict now and I do believe the testers will look for a Cat and the emissions have to be spot on....... How many Cat's do you have on your Sport mate ?

Thanks for the reply, I have just one cat. The other thing I was wondering is whether I will have to get the car tuned or set up for the de cat and what happens with the sensor wiring which goes to the exhaust?

Cheers

John

There is a sports cat from www.scoobyworld.co.uk and apparently this will pass the MOT and increase performance at the same time Its the Ninja model... Its 300...

I'm hoping to get one myself and hopefully it'll give me a few more BHP at the same time
