Hi mate, sorry to say that just fitting a set of coilovers won't always cure undresteer. The Impreza is renound for understeer (due the the AWD and front end lift due to accelleration) and there are many ways to cure it.

If it is any help, my Impreza now has very slight oversteer and is great fun (especially on roundabouts and tight corners).

Things done to our car are -

Bilstein PSS9's Fitted (lowered 30mm)
GT Spec Anti-Lift Kit
Powerflex Solid Rear Drop Links
Powerflex End Link Kit
17" Alloys & Toyo Proxies
Full Geometry Set-Up
33 PSI In Front & Rear Tyres

Hope that helps matey,

Richy B

the main thing would be to have your cars geometry sorted properly, even on a std car this makes a world of difference....................

also get the ride height checked out as this also has a bearing on how the car behaves

As Alyn said, geometry is important. I also found that fitting an uprated adjustable rear anti-roll bar from whiteline makes a world of difference. It has 3 stiffness settings. On hole 1, you get the standard feel of the car. Hole 2 will dial out the understeer and leave a balanced car and hole 3 will shift the car to a tendency to oversteer.
