td05 turbo

i know i said that my car was finished mod wise but i cant resist.

to change from the standard td04 to a td05 what do i need to look out for apart from buying a duffer, will it be a straight swap (physically) . i know i will need a remap.

cheers

chris

tdo5 is a 90deg entry turbo and td04 on your car is front entry........................the td05 can be made to fit by machining the front housing to become "front entry"

bear in mind that you will almost definately need a 're-map' to allow your car to run correctly and get the best out of it.............

how about looking for an IHI unit off an STi m8e, fit a VF34 or VF35 from an 2001/2/3 STi. you'll need to get a remap to take advantage but you get an awsome power increase well worth the money

The TD05 can make good figures (350BHP) without modification while being cheaper than the IHI units. Set up correctly, the TD05 spools quite well - my TD05 makes 1bar boost at 2950rpm and 1.3bar by 3150rpm which is held to the red line.
