Unhappy leaking power steering rack

It looks like I need to replace my power steering rack.
Can I use any year model gc8 turbo rack or do any of the newage racks fit the 1999/2000 uk turbo?

thanks in advance.

Re: leaking power steering rack

Answering my own question

according to scoobynet It looks like the newage will fit with slight modification to the U-joint and pipes.

I dont think I will be going that route.

Can anyone confirm if the gc8 turbo wagon steering rack is the same as the gc8 turbo saloon?

best bet is find the part on here for yours, then see which other car it is fit on.

Re: leaking power steering rack

Thanks.
Turns out there was nothing wrong with the power steering rack. What had happened is the garage that did the turbo swap didnt secure the oil return line and it came loose causing a very small oil leak that built up over along time (dipstick still showed full) and when the revs built up the return line was causing a vibration.

The Turbo has been refitted and I just had the car remapped yesterday by Bob Rawle canny bloke, the car made around 308bhp and around 280lb-ft torque. I requested close to 300bhp/280lb-ft torque to preserve the standard clutch. He said it could have easliy made 330.
