Downpipe

Hi guys, it's been a while. Hit my first problem in 6 years of Scooby ownership.

The standard cat down pipe on my classic has corroded at the flange next to the spring joint joining to the rear cat and started blowing.

Having problems sourcing a replacement so I'm wondering can I go with a sports cat without remap or will it cause issues?

I rang Subaru out of interest and they quoted me nearly 800 for a replacement!!!

I've tried Grade A and eBay with no luck

Thanks.

Re: Downpipe

if you have a progressive map (can't remember if you have or not) it should be fine..mind you did run mine without a remap, for a day,had no issues, but once mapped ... nice little gains...

Re: Downpipe

Standard V6 turbo 2000 Pilot, never had it mapped. Aren't the ecu's in the V6 self learning? I'd love to get it mapped but don't have the finances at the minute.

Re: Downpipe

I ran mine with a 100 cell sports cat for approx 6 months without a remap with no issues, but I didn't drive it as hard just in case , made huge difference once it was remapped. Mine made 271bhp.
