Smile Rough idling when cold

Hi all, after some advice from any you scooby experts out there! Ive got an 97 classic that ive had for 8 years with no problems at all until just before christmas. It starts on the key first time from cold, idles at 1500 for about 30 seconds fine then drops and wants to stall, and is basically undrivable until its warm and then its fine and ticks over ok ( I sit and rev it for about 5 minutes till I drive off). After reading info (might have been good might have been bad) on the net ive so far;
Cleaned the air filter
Changed the leads and plugs and set the gaps
Cleaned the IACV and checked for power and operation (all good)
Changed the lambda sensor (new bosch one)
Changed the ecu cold temp sender (this is where I got confused)
The cts according to other sites is ment to be under the manifold itro the turbo. Ive looked and couldn't find it there, then I found someone who said its under the alternator. I found it there and changed it for a new genuine one. Still no better! I took the alternator off again to check for power at the 2pin block and theres nothing there although there are 2 other 1 wire temp sensors next to it with power to them! Also when I disconected the block the fan came on and stayed on until i reconected it. The car has never thrown a cel apart from a IACV code which it did when i disconected it to check it. Any advice would be kindly recieved!!!!!
Cheers jim

Re: Rough idling when cold

I had a similar problem turned out to be a fuel leak, leave the engine idling and check underneath the car around where the rear seat is and near the the rear sills passenger side just in front of the rear wheel.

Yeah mate cleaned and checked, but reused the old gasket as it was intact (although it had an unneeded extra screw hole and a square cut out in the bottom of it for some reason ?) cheers jim
