loss of boost

hi can anyone help me please
i have a 01 bugeye and the maf went on it so ive replaced it this week but when plugged in it runs like a bag of shite also when i put my foot down the boost cuts in but then fades away and i get mis-fire . the code i get on the reader is the maf again (its unpluged as it runs better without it) any ides would be very helpfull

check the new one is right then first lol,
the new one could still be faulty, have you checked the plug etc for any bad connections?

i got it from ebay but it has no numbers written on the top so now im a bit weary lol will be going out there to check it all asap

seems odd your still getting the Maff error code, so its definitely worth a proper look,
might be worth finding a local member to you and trying their maff.
