brakes

hi on my 96 sti ive got the standerd front 4pots and my brakes are crap ive got drilled and grooved discs with ebc yellow stuff im thinking of getting some ap racing or brembo kit but is there anything i could do first thats cheaper to make them better

Godspeed do a kit that gives you bigger discs and caliper brackets that allow you to use the scoob 4 pots. Afaik it's an improvement

I would try different pads, as much as 4 pots arent brembos they do still work well with the correct disc and pad combo for your driving style.

Just upgraded my 99 to braided hoses, great improvement, running vented ebc discs front and rear and black diamond pads, not the best combo but cash dictated this. But the hose upgrade 60 quid ish and fantastic improvement

yeash the standard brakes are pretty meh. I ended up ditching mine in favour of 6 pots. massive improvment.
