Cut out problem

Hi All,

About 4 weeks ago my Classic Impreza cut out on the motorway. No splutter before, just a nice clean cut out. Started back up fine and continued on home for 150 ish miles perfectly.

A couple of days ago it's done the same again. Just chilling on the motorway at about 50 in an average zone and it just cut out again. Again no splutter and started right back up with no other problems at all.

No error codes stored. Apart from these 2 incidents it's running like a beast.

Been having a read on here and looks like I'll get my local guy to check the fuel filter, pump and Idle control valve. But am I right in thinking if it was one of these wouldn't it act up a bit more ?

Re: Cut out problem

Update... Car has been to Cotton Comp up near Garstang for road tests etc after cutting out a few more times at junctions.

No faults found at all. The only thing they mentioned it could be is some sort of immobiliser issue and that would be rare...

Ah well. I just hope she doesnt **** me over in the fast lane.....
