Get a compression test done, it will rule a knackered engine out

its sounding like a duff engine, possible piston damage so its burning oil is there any oil being dropped under the car?

problem is there a high performance car, drive it easy for its life and you dont pressurise the systems that are designed to run under pressure. Then when you load them up they just cry enough and break.

Same with ferrari's etc, people by them drive them like pussies and then they break the first time they get gien the large.

If it is the engine gone then you have a number of options.

1> sell the car as is, aka rolling shell porobe £500-£1000 at most in your pocket.
2> Get engine rebuilt, £1500+ cost, but means you'll have a brand new engine, with warrenty etc.
3> Get engine rebuilt and go mad, £XXXX+ depending on how far you wan't to take it.

You can get recon'd or second hand engines, but there a false economy in my view. you will never know there true hitory, people have been bitten and ended up having to get a 3rd engine when the replcement goes.

Also a decent engine build will last a long time if you treat it right.
