Genuine Subau Mystery Part ??

Can anyone shed any light on what this mystery part is:-

SUBARU IMPREZA TURBO HESITATION IDLE FIX PROBLEM

DO YOU HAVE AN EARLY MODEL IMPREZA TURBO IMPORT 1992-1996 WITH THE FOLLOWING PROBLEMS -

HOLDING BACK
HESITATION
LOST BOOST (SHOULD PRODUCE 1 - 1.1BAR MINE WAS ONLY PRODUCING 0.6-0.7 BAR)
LOST POWER
POOR FUEL ECONOMY
IDLE PROBLEMS AT JUNCTIONS WITH SURGING
PUTS OUT BLACK SMOKE SOMETIMES
SOMETIMES GOES OK THEN SOMETIMES HAD ALL OF THE ABOVE SYMPTONS
HAVE YOU ALREADY CHANGED THE FOLLOWING AND STILL NOT RESOLVED THE PROBLEM

AIR FLOW METER
AIR FILTER
OXYGEN SENSOR
ECU
SPARK PLUGS
COILS
KNOCK SENSOR
ETC ETC
IF YOUR CAR IS AN EARLY MODEL I WILL SELL YOU THE MYSTERY PART THAT WILL FIX YOUR CAR WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON FITMENT. IT TAKES 5 MINUTES TO REPAIR.

IF I KNEW THIS AT THE START I WOULD OF EASILY PAID £30 !!!

SUBARU ORIGINAL PART WILL BE SENT SPECIAL DELIVERY.

THIS AUCTION HAS NO REFUNDS , BUT I AM A MECHANIC AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM WITH MY 1993 WRX AFTER 2 MONTHS OF CHANGING PARTS AND PAYING THE DEALER

THIS HAS NOW CURED 37 CARS OUT OF 42 PURCHASED

I dont know what it is but wouldnt take the chance on something like that... very easy to write / sell a washer :wink:

ebay is good like that :x

The advert is to sell the 'o' ring seal that goes between the intercooler y pipe and intercooler.

Buy a new one from your local dealer - they are quite cheap.

The ad is a bit of a con (and a bit not) as failure of the o ring may cause some of the problems listed. It is often pinched or not refitted correctly when the intercooler is taken off. I think thses are only on the older intercoolers anyway (deff on slanty ones).
