subaru wagon classic help please?

hi all.

i have a subaru classic wagon 97 plate turbo.

got this little irretating fault with it.
it idles fine, drives fine and pulls well, so nothing obviuosly wrong but now and then you feel like a little jerk or like a hestitation for a second now and then could be doing 30/40 80mph, like fuel starv for sec or so, you feel it when driving but not all the time, so far replaced the following parts to no avail...fuel filter..maf sensor..air filter..spark plugs..leads..coil!

some people are saying fuel pump? but it does not splutter upon putting your foot down, no issues there as it pulls and drives superb really apart from this little glitch, feels like a brake pad sticks on now and then!

nothing in the ecu codes either, would it be lambda sensor or knock sensor or even the boost control solanoid?

any help appreciated asap.
thanks.

Re: subaru wagon classic help please?

thanks for the reply.

i am sure i have no boost leaks anywhere, as this happens when driving slow norm steady speeds, seems ok then it does it now and then, pulls fine and no boost leaks as far i know.

could be the 02 sensor, i presume this is the one at the top of the exhaust manifold? i removed it with a 22m spanner, it looked whiteish, cleanened it and put back, done seem to have cured it, unless its still faulty?

Re: subaru wagon classic help please?

the 02 is located on the down pipe/cat/decat pipe..

the coolant temp sensor can also cause running issues ,not always picked up by code readers..located below the alternator..

have a ganders here for sensors :- Subaru Oxygen Sensor – Buy Oxygen Sensors, Lambda Sensors & More
