Hi Buzz,

O ring not come yet, but next doot neighbour had a load, forgot that he was a hydrolic fitter,

found the knock sensor, it was between the intercooler an back of engine block,
had to remove dump valve, throttle conttol, air idle,
even witht these rmoved i could reallt see the sensor,

but luck was on my side, had to get an extra extra extra long upside socket on it,
and with luck i got it out,

even more lucky i mannged to littlerally drop the new one in place, and got the bolt back on first time.

done an ecu reset, will see in approx 50 miles if prob sorted.

only thing is the sensor that forresters sent was 53 and was a used one, who`s to say if its not faulty, weeellll see.

Sounds like you sorted out the fitting of your knock sensor mate

As for the sensor being 2nd hand - again shouldn't be a problem aslong as they check the sensors when they remove them from the original donor car. I bought a number of sensors for my WRX from Grade A 2nd hand and they were all fine. However Grade A did test them before sending them or at least thats what they said

I'm sure it'll be fine 8)
