engine problem number 3545262

im sick of this car! well its my own fault actually! ive had a engine rebuild but i used my old sensors and im guessing its one thats going! when i first drive car up until its fully warm its judders coughs splutters and smells a bit rich all the time, it runs spot on if turbo spools up a bit but under lower revs strauggles, its had recent plugs oil change etc and no engine management light is up? any ideas??

its had a new maf sensor and ive tried swapping it with a mates, do subarus have two coolant sensors? my guage does take a long time to come up?

they only have one,situated below the alternator..

is it the one with just one black wire going to it? thats the only one i can see apart from crank position sensor?

urm i cant see that one anywhere, mines a v1 wrx if there in different locations, i noticed knock sensor is at back rather than the front of the engine but only sensors at front are cam and camshaft and the one with one wire to it on a spade connector

bollox!!...forgot your's is a V1,should be around the rear of the engine then fella..

il poke about, i can see wires leading to somewhere in front of turbo but looks like inlet manifold needs to come off!

the temp sensor should be easy to get to,should be a triangular ish style of plug..

spot on pete found it thanks! theres an oil leak around there so guessing that might no be helping! time to strip and clean!
