WRX Classic Auto

Hi, I have a WRX Classic auto, 1996.

It has a 'power' button, when the button is pushed does it change to a different map in the ECU?
If so, is it possible to remap the ECU to give best fuel economy with the button off but mapped to give best power with it on?

Or am I being a ?

I would like to use the car for more day to day driving but it costs too much at the moment

Thanks in advance

Re: WRX Classic Auto

i think its something to do when the car changes gear at differnt rev limits. switched on the car revs higher before changing up, off changes gear at lower revs giving better economy. see link below.

click here >>> Power switch, how it works?
