Anti lag ?

Has anybody every put a turbo anylag system on his (road)car, similar to the rally cars ?

I know it's not good at all for the exhaust as it burns some of the mixture inthere, but it sounds the works and with the turbo always on boost, acceleration is fenomenal at any speed.

I dont think its illegal, but you'd never get it through an mot emissions test

Waw ! That's what we need ! :mbounce:

I know on a rallycar, it is mainly controlled by the ECU and you can switch it of for the road sections.

It's normally only a matter of keeping the throttle butterfly a bit open at lift-off and retard the ignition.

I'm just not sure how long your exhaust is supposed to hold.

Money ! We're all ears !

Hei Money !!

We're still waiting !!

Thinking of getting a MY06 Spec C maybe from Lichtfield and getting antilag on it.

Must indeed be able to switch off. Don't think my wife wants to arrive at the hospital every day with a popping 'n booming exhaust. But would get her there quicker.

Thanks !
S.

Motec is basically the daddy of standalone engine management systems. Usually only fitted to very highely tuned or race engines. It is a very powerful system, and it costs a pretty penny (>$3,000) for a complete tuned setup. Many porsche race cars use it.

I don't think a otherwise stock sti with antilag and a motec is the best setup, not to mention the new sti's have little lag anyway.

Anti lag is awesome to spool giant turbos.... and then replace them quite soon again...

The idea is just to wake the bears out of their wintersleep here by driving through the forests popping and banging like Solberg !
