it was the 1.2 block,biggest i recall was the 2.0 GT version but very very rare,like the T200 mantas

My mate had opel manta, didnt rate it much, not a patch on my m1 escort

It was a mexico shell with all the running gear ,dash brakes but had 2 litre pinto with twin 40s so not all original but a lot of fun I know the RA is totaly different
but its the only car thats given me the same feeling to drive, if you get my meaning.

i know exactly what you mean bud,i have done a few "heart n lung" transplants on various MK1's n 2's.....my mate n i did a bizzare conversion once,shoehorned in a 2.3 V6 from a series 3 tina,was rather ammusing to drive n the looks from the other eccy owners was hillarious..lol

Aaah the old classics. Im no mechanic but even i could do most things to the good old Fords. So simple to tinker with.

Changing the wheel is about my limit on the scooby to many wires & hoses. To expensive if i cock anything up :lol
