Which model Impreza is the best to get?
Hi,
I had a '99 scooby sport 2.0l 16v many years ago. I loved it, now i'm looking for a sti but not sure which model to go for. I was thinking the STI ver 5 as it had some engine updates... Wondered if anyone could give me any suggestions?? Any & all comments welcomed. Thanks. |

A bit of both really. I wouldn't mind working up to 400bhp one day. I also haven't found much info regarding the STI ver 8... I also dont want to be stung with road tax either..

You're going to get stung on tax with a new age car. I believe the blobs are 400'ish pa.
My classic is 'only' £225 a year.

Re: Which model Impreza is the best to get?
if an imported blobeye was brought into the UK early on in it's life you can pay just a PLG tax rate as it has no C02 reading with hthe documents. I just paid £210 for a year on my STI Spec C. It was imported in 2005, its a 2003/4 model on a 53 plate
but to be honest the price you pay on tax is just a drop in the ocean when owning these cars - lol

Re: Which model Impreza is the best to get?
you missed out the important bit of that text, it mentioned any cars manfactured after a certain date, if your lucky your cars earlier than that and your in the lower band
![]() for your budget then a bug spec c or maybe even an s202, or a blob sti maybe even a hawkeye Subaru : Subaru impreza wrx sti type uk (2006/56) or somethign a bit more subtle but just as fun ![]() APi Impreza : 2006 Spec D Impreza STi
