its more hows it built rather than whats in it. AA inspection wont tell you that bit. as said theres plenty out there so walk away and find another one.

to much for a molested type r imo but its your money and it seems you have made your mind up,if i was buying a type r i would buy a standard one and keep it that way worth more in the long run

you suggest me to buy a 'yellow' impreza . That guy seems that he put good quality products and love it. I think it is a good offer. Even if the engine is not good I will buy a good second hand for 1500 pounds and I would be in the money of the yellow impreza.

they may sell alot but they aint quality , 90% of them are shite and there customer service sucks.

Take it from me. If it's a home job I would walk away. I agree with pre posts, spend more, go to an import garage.... Just an opinion... I joined this forum to get some help from peeps cos (I allowed - ouch) some jockeys muck up my car. I would say that the engines are a bit more temperamental than others cars and you really have to know what you're doing to do anything to them (gleaned from about 6 hours of staring and scratching my head at mine LOL) If I was in a position, I would park mine up for a bit and replace it for the time being...
