How long should a fuel pump/filter should be changed? Is there a upgraded fuel pump/filter for my 2003 wrx? Which problems does occur if they are not changed on time?

Re: Fuel Pump- fuel filter

the O/E pumps and pump filters can last a lifetime, the filter resembles a teabag,so to speak, most owners change their pumps when they have the vehicle mapped to increase the flow,a very popular pump for us scoob owners is the Walbro 255,simple and easy to fit in just a few minutes

Thanks so much Pilot So what i understand is unless there is a problem i don't have to worry for fuel pump and filter. But if i want, i can change my standart fuel pump with Walbro 255 etc. Did i get it right?

Re: Fuel Pump- fuel filter

that is indeed correct

the car won't even need mapping if you replace the filter,it's a simple case of "plug and play"
