fuel

hi guys & gals... sold my w reg classic & bought an x reg bugeye wrx the fuel consumption is a lot higher even though i do no more mileage or drive it any harder............ can anyone give me some pointers to get more mpg? maybe something wrong?????????????? thanx for any help

lol.... my 1999 classic does 17 mpg...... thats using it "normaly".... givin it the beans gets worse.

Could be a faulty o2 sensor or engine coolant temp sensor or thermostat problem if the last 2 is overcooling your engine from the water temp on dash you will burn more juice but test the o2 sensor as it does not always throw up an engine check light when they go and they let the car run open loop all the time and let the car run richer letting you burn more juice thats if they a prob with the sensor
