Agree with everything above. I used to run Galant VR4's if you put 95 into them they'd almost go into limp home mode

Re: normal unleaded or v-max??

i run tesco momentum, spot on although the fuel qaulity does fluctuate slightly but not by any noticable amount, just have to be slightly more carefull with mapping then when using shell optimax

Re: normal unleaded or v-max??

if its an STI 98 minimum. WRX 95 minimum. but i would always take those as a 'only if youre caught short' rating.

my WRX always takes Vpower (still called optimax in some places)... i get better MPG with it.

Re: normal unleaded or v-max??

Living out in the sticks I have to drive about 40 miles to fill up with super unleaded.

I always use 97-98 ron or Tesco 99 if I travel a bit further.

What year is your car. I would perform an ecu reset if its classic after you a run a tank through. If its a new age then it will learn that the octane is higher after a tank or 2. Personally i wouldnt drive it to hard until your sure the ordinary stuff has run through
