should original dump valve on 03 wrx have a gasket?

as topic says should an original rec dump valve on 03 wrx have a gasket, as i took it off to put a bailey 1 on and nothing there?, will this cause problems without 1?, and if so where can i get a gasket?

Yep there should be a gasket there. It could leak pressure without one. If you give your local Subaru dealer a call they'll sort one out for you, there only cheap. The Bailey dump valve should have came with one if it was brand new

Yes it should. Forget about the bailey or any dump valve the standard Subaru one is fine and doesn't need changing. Aftermarket ones can cause issues

Totally agree, they make good door wedges . Get fed up of dump valve debates though. If you want the whooshhhh peeps are still going to fit them and not realise the effects on the air/fuel mixture. If I really wanted that sound I'd buy a bus

nope defo no gasket with original or with the brand new bailey 1 p.s what is the gasket made of i.e paper like? or rubber?

Don't use Bailey. Weak springs and causes running problems hence the cheap price. Gets forge one they are way better as the Bailey has no gasket return it faulty as it should have one.
