Thermostat change

Hi Guys, bit of a novices question this. Initially im looking to change the thermostat on my 94 import. All the components seem to be originals!!! So will do thermostat and then later this month water pump. To change the thermostat, will i need to remove the front bumper and radiator? Or can i get to it from underneath the front bumper maybe if the car is in the air slightly? Cheers Gareth

Re: Thermostat change

If I remember correctly the thermostat is just two bolts on the elbow... should be fairly easy to get to with the car raised without removing rad etc It will probably be easier to do it all in one go inc. the water pump

Re: Thermostat change

mines just had a cam belt and water pump, few hrs work, dont need to jack car up,just take rad off,and front grill, easy peasy, then can see everything u need to.just make sure all marks on belt and pulleys are lined up,if your unsure,a garage to do it ,is best bet
