Now THAT at least does more look like it.

I'll order one straight away ! (mine is out of lease mid 2006 :jump ).

Wonder who at AutoExpress got those pics of that Impreza Hatchback.

Definitely hope this will be the way forward ! :5:

Rumour has it the 2006 STI, may be fitted with a 2.5litre power unit producing approx 305bhp standard, I guess with a PPP that would take ti to around 345bhp

As for the Hatchback version, I think that is on the cards for around 2007 here in the UK.

Either way I am really looking forward to getting my paws on one or both

I suppose subaru has to think how to compete with the ever increasing power of an EVO.... good job, think the 2.5 would be a lazier and far more rewarding engine. Maybe even more stable over the 2.0 turbos!

I quite like the 2.0 turbo. It's much more of a wild animal than a big torquey engine. if I want a big engine, I'll buy an MG ZT260.

That's true.

Let's do a Beemer 330 then, or an Audi S4. Some people might consider these second hand instead of a scoob.

Not for me. I want a car where it feels as if God is giving me a kick in the butt when the turbo cuts in. The Impreza is for me still the daddy of them all :5:

Hmmmmm - I can't say I am very keen on the look of the new proposed Impreza

The 2.5 makes a lot of sense especially if coupled with a Turbo and I think you are right Gar Subaru need to close the gap again on the Evo with respect to the power figures....I would just love to line up and shoot the Jap designers who seem intent on ruining great Rice rocket designs such as the Scoob, Evo, Skyline etc etc

2006 Impreza

The reason why the new/proposed 2006 Scooby looks like it does, is cos they have employed the Italian geezer wot designed the Alfa and Seats

I think they have got the bloke who designed the new DB9 (what a hunnnnnnnnney)
Still prefer the Scoobs though, Gotta say that though havent I, no seriously I just Lurve driving these Scoobs.
