Re-map

Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere to get my motor remapped in the midlands?? I was going to see Andy Forester but i've just realised he's based in East Lothian. Nearly a 6 hour journey each way!

Depending on what you want I am on your doorstep.

What year car do you have, what remap are you looing for? (ie Ecutek, PowerFC ecu etc).

Cheers

I've got a uk turbo 99 my. Think i want an Ekutek3.

I've also got a problem with boost which i'm hoping to either get sorted out by the remap or done whilst its there. See engine bay forum

I will not be getting the Ecutek software for the 99/00 cars for a little while yet.

There are alternatives, such as the Apexi Power Fc, which is a complete replacement ECU which can be remapped as much as you like. For the 99/00 cars this is a good alternative to the Tek 3 as the factory ECU isn't as clever as the new age cars. The Power FC uses the MAF sensor still, and has all of the facilities of the factory unit with the exception of active knock control. However the 99/00 knock control isn't all as good as it is on the later cars, so that is perhaps not a big isse.

Beyond that you can get something like an Autronic or Gems replacement ECU which has anti-lag, launch control etc, but is really aimed at competition cars.

Andy Forrest travels around the country mapping. Your location isn't a problem.

Pat H will most probably do it for Scoobyclinic.

Pavlo - I've not heard a bad thing. Shame you're not doing the 99/00 cars yet. Good luck. Speak to you at Elvington?

There are a number of other choices, but it does depend on how much you are willing to pay over the odds.
