I love this question

When you say drink loads of fuel what do you mean ? If you are comparing it to a regular car then yes it does drink loads.
You've got to take in to consideration a really small fuel tank and the type of car and style of driving.
When I would kick the arse out of mine I could get as low as 10mpg, but as Tidgy said above, driving like a pussy I can get in to the 25-30's.
As a rule I expect to get about 180 mile to a full tank of fuel, and I'm happy with that

Re: subaru mpg

If it's running well, serviced frequently and correct tyre pressure (this can make a big difference) then I'd say it's about right.
You can look at a remap option.

Don't get much fuel for 10 mate nowadays. Have to put at least 20 - 30 in mine a week. Most of that gets used on a Saturday
