Re: Which fuel to use???

BP ultimate is horrid stuff. Subarus do not like it and when I am mapping I consistently see the best results with vpower (then tesco 99 in second place). Total excellium is better than BP Ultimate.

Re: Which fuel to use???

my car was mapped with 97ron but for a reason, but i always run it on 99ron where ever possible. In my opinion this protects the car for hard use or track use and also saves the worry if on long journeys of trying to find 99ron fuel as 97ron is pretty much available everywhere.

Yes i know that's far too sensible but it works for me.

Re: Which fuel to use???

BP - Bad Esso too

I dunno why but i have always boycotted BP - think it might have went back to the last lost of price increases and people were about to protest as the trucks did. Now i just dont like them.

Especially with the recent disaster - idiots

I've been using Shell for years, since getting the scooby went on to VPower -what a difference it makes on ignition etc, i think you can really feel; the difference. Shell have had a campaign recently about their basic unleaded improvements, seemingly with the additives etc you will get a n extra litre out of it and it will help clean the engine.

Re: Which fuel to use???

Yesterday someone was saying that Tesco 99 is only 96 ron and the 99 bit is just a name they use and apparently they dont claim that it is 99 ron. If this is true then it is damn sneaky.
Only use the stuff when i cant get v power though.

Will have to have a look at a pump when i'm near one

Anybody else hear the same thing ?
