VIN - confirmation of Spec C?

Hi, just about to purchase a Spec C and just doing final checks, can anyone confirm that the model is a true C or a derivative of a C and that its a blob eye- car is 2002, but I am assuming its a 03 model and not had a facelift. Paint is white- only thing I noticed was that interior is blue/black- I had a similar spec C a few years ago and seem to remember this had black interior?

model GDBC4FH, option code UHH

Appreciate your help.

Re: VIN - confirmation of Spec C?

Applied model code GDBC4FH is correct for an '02-'03 Spec C.

Yep, can also confirm that is the code on my '03 Spec C

Mine has a black interior but it is the the 'Spec C Limited' model.

cheers - thanks for the confirmation. It was a Ltd version I had before so maybe that comes with the black interior? Anyone know what the option code UHH stands for? Car has climate control but no elec windows. many thanks

Re: VIN - confirmation of Spec C?

the 17" wheel version came with the blue interior, and as you say the LTD came with black.

The extras the LTD came with in comparison to the standard Speccie were........

Electric folding mirrors
Small air con unit
Electric windows
Black interior and blck centre console

So i guess the air con may have been the option. Then again there was a 16" wheeled Spec C (motorsport edition) which started life with steel wheels, crappy interior and crap brakes all ready to be ripped out and replaced with better parts for hardcore rally or race use.
A way of telling if the car started life as a 16" model is that the DCCD did not have an Auto setting unlike other spec C's. So the option code may stand for whether the car was a 16 or 17" version??
