Question Subaru Impreza Radiator hose leaking!

Hi all again:
I still trying to find the reasons why the car seems to consume more fuel.
SUbaru consuming too much fuel??

I found this time a leak in a hose radiator, please see picture attached

I got the following questions:
-Can this leak ( Its a very small one from my point of view) affect the vehicle performance and fuel consumption?
- can this leak be a sing of a faulty thermostat?
- I using a 95 octane fuel on my impreza 2000, is this the right fuel?

I have to say as well I have removed and inspect the hose, it seems to be fine. maybe it was a loose clamp, area has been cleaned and clamp has been replaced with a new one, after two days using the car there is no sing of a leak.

thanks in advance for all the help

Thanks for the help, I Locate in New Zealand and most of the Petrol Station offer either 91 or 95/96 octane, Only BP offer 98.
