Importing from Jap to US

I was wondering if any of you have a Jap Impreza in the US and how much, if any, modifications had to be done to conform to the US's standards. I was looking for an unmodified 199x's WRX or STI.

Re: Importing from Jap to US

Biggest problem you face is that the petrol in jap is 100 ron which is normally a lot higher than places in the states. With out lookin into this your engine could suffer damage due to detonation.

Re: Importing from Jap to US

Hi mate.

You won't find one in the US as JDM vehicles cannot legally be imported into the USA. There are, I believe, ways around it but is very difficult and very expensive. Best bet would be to get an already modded USDM car with the spec you want.

NASIOC (US Impreza forum) would be a good place to start for advice and cars;
