down pipe Q

thanks to all on this site for making me welcom.Has anybody fitted a decat down pipe :?: If so any tips,its a janspeed done center,back box they whent on piss easy but down pipe looks a bit more comp

It's not necessary to get a remap, although to gain the maximum benefit from the mods it would help.

Occasionally, people have overboosting problems when fitting a decat downpipe, but it seems to be more often than not when the twin dump pipe is used.

have bin told that a ecu reset will b enough :?: by janspeed.But tuneing japanise say just leave it as ecu will update it self :?

I'd definately at LEAST do an ECU reset!
Although a re-map is a good idea though!

front pipe is not as hard as they look m8,as long as the studs in the turbo dont snap :cry:
ive done three now all went ok.have you brought a down pipe yet m8 if not got one here for 100

Small tip for doing the down pipe - spray loads of WD40 around the stud bolts and the O2 sensor - leave it overnight and you should find it ok to move the following day Also try the righty lefty method when undoing the bolts as you really don't want a Turbo stud bolt snaping as previously mentioned. Best tip however is take your time and be patient.....

Definately do an ECU reset and a Remap is not necessary unless you begin to get boost spikes etc in which case you might be better off with a Boost controller just to help things along or a Remap (depends on the size of your wallet )

cheers 4 the info will drown it in wd40 think i will also fit new studs.Does anybody who owns a scooby got any money left
