its not that far from me about half an hour or so away. If im off I could lift u from city of derry airport if you where interested. Maybe you should phone him and check it out? Maybe its too cheap - just saw the ad and thought it might suit.

Re: Had to walk away from the P1 today

i'd say too cheap myself, the m800 is 2-3k's worth straight off, so while mods dont add much, i'd expect it to be around 8.5-9k

Re: Had to walk away from the P1 today

What's the difference then between the Type R's and the P1....

Are both 280bhp??

Why would you say it's a better car..??

I'm might start looking for them next then...

Re: Had to walk away from the P1 today

ok bit of history

the type r is the same car as the p1 more or less.

2 door shell etc etc. the P1 was a version 5 type brought into the uk and then some body mods, dccd removed then badged up as the P1.

type rs are in all years of classic bar v1 and 2

heres a modified one,

Subaru : Impreza STi Type R (2DR), 2.5 conversion!

or one near to standard

SVA Imports : Impreza sti type R version 5

Re: Had to walk away from the P1 today

Type R iirc has a more agressive stance, more power,dccd,....best bet is to find a type R brocuhure, basically a P1 is a soft Type R with some of the toys..

Pretty sure Wayne can obtain the Type R info, seeing as he's in that neck of the woods..

Re: Had to walk away from the P1 today

all in all the type r is a better car, needs to be mapped for uk fuel if not already done, but you could spend the money difference on a few little improvements, like decat, rempa, suspension and brake upgrade
