Apexi power fc ecu and commander

I'm in the process at the moment gathering a few bits for the next stage in my mod programme. Extra engine power.

I have here a version2 STi wagon (1996) running at the moment with a std output at approx 260bhp. Thought l'd push the boat out a bit more and see if i could get 300+.
It's been mentioned to me that my current ECU's not possible to remap and that a replacement one is required.

Apexi power fc ecu and a commander has been mentioned as a good sound replacement.

Will this fit and run ok on an version2 car?

Somebody suggested to me it wouldn't work on a 1995 JDM car. Seeing the two cars are so close in years whats the score?

Right i have an answer to my question. Apexi ECU will fit providing i get the correct set up. Be told that my classic version2 has four electrical plugs. Have to have a look now.

So there you have it. Just thought i'd post my findings so far.

It will work without any problems as long as you have the right ECU for the relevant year/model.

Don't suppose you know the part number etc of the Apexi power fc ecu for my car?

I'll try and get it over the next few days for you. However, you need the one for:

Impreza, 92.11~96.9 GC8.GF8 EJ20G.

Thanks for that Highlander. No real rush but if you come across the number in the week that would be great.

I have sourced a second hand Apexi ecu and commander thats never been used and still boxed. Unfortunatly the chap concerned is having to sell the car along with a collection of bits he's had for a mod or two. Excellent price.
Failing that Rob at Endless Racing Design can supply me an ecu and commander. Very helpful knowledgeable chap. I've mailed him regards the p/n as well.

Never thought of Andy to be honest at least not supplying parts. I did mail him for some advice on a tmic that i intend fitting.

Just dawned on me this morning the last five digits supplied so far,

EJ20G
&
EJ207

the letter G happens to be the 7th letter in the alphabet.

Emmmmm may something in it ??

Thanks bud for that. Really not sure what to make of that number to be honest. Still none the wiser

That IS the model number.

Thanks for that mate. Been a big help. Just been talking to Rob at endless raceing and he says the ECU i'm after is for a latter modal. Oh well can but try.
