Re: Almost there........!!!!!!!!!

WoW!

Looks like a good 'un chap. Great mileage for a car that age and looks like it's been looked after. Any pics? You going for a test drive?

(knock link will come in handy, just in case.)

Re: Almost there........!!!!!!!!!

The sunroof won't be to everybody's taste but it makes it even more rare I suppose...according to prodrive only 5 P1's were made with the electric tilt/slide sunroof. Going to see it this evening..

Re: Almost there........!!!!!!!!!

Didn't see the P1 yet. Will be seeing it this week.
Just data checked another P1 that I've seen on piston heads and it came up " Insurance total loss ". Was guttted because I really liked that one. Would anybody buy a car with this on the data check?

Would you buy a car that has CAT C on it...Also thinking if need to sell it on then not everybody would want a car with a CAT C I guess

Re: Almost there........!!!!!!!!!

Personally wouldn't as it means the damage could have been considerable and could even have been damage to the chassis. You will have problems selling it on imo. I may consider a Cat D but never a C. This is all my opinion of course and others may feel differently.

Here is a list of the categories and what they mean;

Category A: Scrap only (i.e. with few or no economically salvageable parts and which is of value only for scrap metal

Category B: Break for spare parts if economically viable (excluding any residual scrap value)

Category C: Repairable total loss vehicles where repair costs including VAT exceed the vehicle's pre-accident value

Category D: Repairable total loss vehicle where repair costs including VAT do not exceed the vehicle's pre-accident value

Re: Almost there........!!!!!!!!!

Yeah exactly....the guy said he never even knew...so which means he didn't data check the P1 when he bought it and probably will have difficulty selling it on...

ANYWAY.........I don't care as I'm seeing this one tomorrow and all been well will be on my drive this Saturday....You wouldn't beleive how much I'm looking forward to this day.....the data check on this one comes back perfect....

Years and years I've been wanting an Impreza....And overall the P1 has always stood out for me....

That is a beautiful car. Hope this one works out as they don't get much better than the P1.

Re: Almost there........!!!!!!!!!

Just hope the engine doesn't go POP

And I haven't a clue about Impreza's.....
I've had turbo'd cars before and let the turbo warm up and cool down properly etc so I'm assuming this is the same.....

What the hell is a knock link??? this car has one
