It is very fine but would imagine a good air filter would keep most of it out at least. I had no issues and my car was caked in the stuff and driven around with no problems.

Re: Volcanic Ash

the standard air box will be fine. Maybe if you had an open cone in the wing with a direct air feed it could give you jip.
But i cant see it really, unless you live very far north or up in northen europe.

As long as you havent got a jet engine in there hitting 2000 degrees then you'l be safe. And even if you did, at 500mph it'l clear out once it cools. Ha ha

Re: Volcanic Ash

Some dust around here today, don't think it's volcanic though. Just the normal crap in the air. Damn it! Only washed the car on friday

Re: Volcanic Ash

yeah building site dust i think is on mine. Did you see the sky today? It was like florida or something. Not a single spec in the sky. Made even more superb by the fact that there werent the usual vapour trails and plane every 50 seconds.
Its only once it'd gone i realised how frequent it normally is!

Though i hope iceland stops brewing, i want a flawless plane trip friday!
