Talking help

i have a 2005 impreza 2.5rs with a bad motor im am buying a new one from the dealer, while it is out i want to put a turbo on it but need some one to point me in the right direction i have to do this on a tight budget as the motor alone is going to cost around 5gs to buy and put in.

Hi mate,

I'm afraid that it is not going to be as simple as just bolting on a turbo and driving her away, which means that you can also assume it won't be doable (properly and safely) on a tight budget unless you are doing the work your self.

You would need most of the parts that make a turbo different to your N/A car such as the entire engine, ECU, wiring loom, drive train, gearbox and also suspension and brakes should be added to make sure the car can handle the power.

buy a damged one and transplant all the parts you need if you are definitely going to go down this route. Just be careful about what you buy and the damage it has!
