Re: billet turbo
I am confused with that thread now, so many opinions.
Needs to be cleaned up with easy to read comparisons. i.e. GT35 against GT35 billet same fuel same boost GT30 against GT30 billet same fuel same boost You can do a comparison of VF34 against the SC36 but am confused about all the others in the range.

Re: billet turbo
i th'nk they test them back to back boost level's then they see what there capable of turned up as in bost they will hold, the bilets seem to be able to hold boost better than the others. think it was asked on the thread somewhere and they put up exact back to backs, tbh the thread has become so strung out i'm not sure whats what any more.

Re: billet turbo
Will be mapping an SC36 next week - sounds like a cracking turbo for that power target.
Ultimately you map a turbo to what it can do - some turbos like more boost. If they can stand it then it is good. The billet range look interesting. Have mapped a standard SC46 and it worked pretty well IMO. Not quite as good as 321 but for a sleeve bearing turbo it was quite impressive.

Re: billet turbo
turbos take alot of development and money to develop, current economy isn;t exactly ideal for big spending.
md321 was in development for months before it was released, clinic did all the testing and feedback for the test ones, they were on the 8th revision before it was ready. nearly got scrapped because it wasn't performing, they gave it one last go and they were lucky enough to hit the sweet spot with spool and boost. came extreamly close to being shelved

Re: billet turbo
its a cost thing - the billet wheels are much more expensive than std wheels. The std wheels work just great in most cases.
