Noise from front wheel

Hi i have had a noise coming from front drivers side which sounds like the brakes are staying on , kind of like metal to metal sound first i thought it was a wheel bearing so i fitted a new one , then i thought it could be my discs so i put on new discs and pads. noise still there so i thought maybe a sticking piston in the calipers so i sent them of to be fully refurbished, but the noise is still there iam at a loss dont no what to do, it must be somthing to do with rotation as it only happens when car is moving the noise gets louder when turning right but seems to go quite when turning left please help

Im nearly 100% that it the brake sheild in to far and the disc rubbing off it this happens in some of the toyotas aswell, and especially seems to get louder when on full lock, as you said it seems to get louder when you turning right so check the opposite side the left and you will see the brake sheild rubbing if it is also check the right side to just pull sheild away as much as you can from the disc and job done

Re: Noise from front wheel

Could well be a bottom balljoint gone aswell so jack up the car take wheel off and get a lever bar and check for play in that balljoint but they normally bulletproof them balljoints

Strange one so, what above broken susp spring^^^^? and also you would see the mark on the sheild if it was rubbing off the disc, what about the discs are they grooved are they on in the wrong rotation?

Re: Noise from front wheel

You would really have to take driveshaft off the car to inspect it degrease it down the outer cv joint and see if they anything broken up

Re: Noise from front wheel

The disc on the left should be on the drivers side as you look at it like this and the disc on the right should fit just the the way you look at it on the passenger side thats for a righthand drive car of course some people fit them wrong side and the rotation wrong, which cause's problems
