Subaru diagnostics software.
Just wondering if there is any diagnostics software available for newage STI's
I've just switched from an A3 to a 04 JDM sti. Audis have an application called vagcom which allows data logging and fault detection etc... and was looking for something similar. thanks |

Re: Subaru diagnostics software.
not sure if the standard ecu you record faults. most issues show the engine warnign light, count the number of flashes (two lots of flashes) when you start the car to figure out whats its saying.
eg flash, flash, flash,,,,, then a gap, flash flash = 32 theres a list of fault codes that corespond to the flashes. on here somewhere but pete will know whene lol

Don't think it works that way on the new age cars Tidgy, only on the classics. To read the codes on a new age you'll need to get a code reader and plug it into the obdi port I believe, or take it somewhere that can do it or you. As Tidgy says, Pete's your man as he has an '02 WRX.

RomRaider - Open Source ECU Tools | RomRaider / Rom Raider is free software for diagnosis (and reflashing if you wanted to) You will need a cable but your vagcom cable should work for reading realtime data from the ecu and reseting it if needed. It wont work for reflashing.
