06 Impreza

Found out yesterday why the new Scooby is going to look like an Alfa (and boys and girls, it is going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ). I have it from an inside source that Subaru Japan have recruited a new designer, and he is only the chap that used to work for Alfa Romeo for about 25 years or so.

There are also pics on the SWRT site of the new 05 WRC that Petter and Phil will be using next week in Mexico, main differenc is loads more torque, a 30mm wider track which gives it feel of being lower and a lot of work to combat the water problems of last year. ops:

I've read that all Subarus are going to get the same nose front grill treatment, apparently it represents Subarus aviation days.I take it from that the grille is supposed to be a plane? Hope it looks better in the metal.

And on that basis the bugeye was born in 2001! That was a good move that lasted less than 2 years!

Personally I think the Leggy headlightsa are OK but the grill is a no, no.

I will give them a chance and look at in the flesh before casting my final vote. I'm not keen on the twin exhaust configuration either from the rear shot pics in the same article.
