Hiya Buzz/Nelson

Thanks for speaking to me on msn Buzz really appreciated it.

Have took the car out for a good run and have more stupid questions (I knew you'd be pleased to hear that buzz )

This is hard to explain so bear with me!

The only way I can explain it is the whoosh sound is very short? When I am changing gear its not a longish whoosh is sounds like the whoosh cuts off fairly quick? This how it should be?

Oh and I was hoping it would be louder as its fairly quiet.

If the above is normal thats fine. Just wanna make sure I not set it all up wrong thats all.

Its an HKS by the way.

Thanks guys and sorry for the stupid questions ops:

Hi lou, no probs.

Have no experience of the hks vta's, my bailey vta only gives a short blast, about .5 sec?
Its just a case of the "air " escaping, did you get the noise when you just lifted off the throttle too?

Dont know yours is tunable ie loudness?

If you want a long "whoosh" then it would sound more like ivor the engine!

I may wanna sound like ivor the engine, reminds me of my childhood

I only get the whoosh sound when I lift my foot off the throttle.

Mines about 3 secs.

I would refer to the instructions to see if they are tunable but its in Jap :?

To make the HKS louder you can change the insert... DO NOT adjust the screw / bolt on the side........

Have a look on the HKS site or a dealers site for the inserts

Don't worry I haven't been playing with any screws

I'm gonna see if e-bay has any of these inserts

Cheers Peter

My blow off is purple and on the HKS website it says it emits a lower frequency sound than both the standard and gold SSBV inserts.

So that explains it
