Re: samco hose thing + others

Yes mate , i picked up a genuine samco induction hose of ebay for 44.00 for my MY99 on friday morning. Fitted it yesterday, what a game trying to get the old one off,but managed it eventually. Halfway through fitting the samco i phoned a subaru specialist and he said i would have to remove the inlet manifold - wtf. Used some good old fairy liquid job done was fitted in 10 mins .
These hoses sell for over 200.00 ,so grab a bargain from the link below.

Think for the braided fuel lines ya just use them rubber lined "p" clips

Theres some on ebay, will be other clamps aswell possibly anodised stuff available from places like demon tweeks.

Re: samco hose thing + others

It is the main induction hose that connects onto your maf, then under the inlet manifold and connects straight on to the compressor inlet on your turbo. There are also 4 - 5 vacume hoses that connect to it depending upon which model year you have. Worthwhile investment as the standard item resembles the nasty plastic standard intercooler hoses that were fitted on uk/wrx models .they look- very restrictive and prone to collapse and breaking when boost pressure is upped.the actual design of the samco clearly allows more air into the turbo

Its the black plastic pipe here left in pic and it goes to the turbo inlet held with a hose clip to turbo inlet fairplay on previous post it was hard enough for me to get it off when the intake manifold was off the car must have the nack
