Starting problems

Hi there wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction please - I have a 94 K plate impreza which i have had for 3years now started to have a few problems

If i leave the car for more than 3 days without starting it struggles to start and only runs on 3 cylinders do you suggest this could be to do with the coil pack?? just had full service

I know enough about my car and happy to get my hands dirty I am not ur typical 20year old girl i have stripped engine down with my brother to replaced all gaskets lol when i first got the car that was only for pace of mind lol

I also have a major over fueling problem not sure if this is connected but once started if jump in and got to move car any pressure on the accelerator it wants to die on you and cut out - i feel you've got to rev the tits off it to keep it going half the time but once she has been out for a blast she is like brand new - would like to get to the bottom of these problems if anyone can help please

cheers

Kirsty

Re: Starting problems

Do you get the same problem if you just leave it overnight or any other starting problems when you do use it ?
Or is it just if you leave it for long periods of time standing ?

Carb/Brake cleaner
Just spray and lightly shake the excess off then repeat until it looks clean,
dont try blowing it with a airline or anything.

If its the one with a green label on it, there 210. Link: Subaru air flow meter green label

I've had a issue much like the one your experiencing (on an N reg), but it occured every morning . It turned out that fuel pump was on its way out, plus all four coils where cracked.

Re: Starting problems

I had similar problems on my 03STI and it turned out to be a broken down coil pack
